Step 3: REVISE (5 minutes)
When revising you check the content and language of your essay. You need to make sure that the
content is well-developed and well- organized and that you have used the correct grammar,
spelling, and punctuation.
Use the following checklist to practice revising.

TIPS:
1. Read the task carefully and make sure you understand what it is asking for.
2. Choose the side in which you can easily develop your ideas rather than the side that you
actually agree with.
3. Write sentences using structures and grammar that you feel confident using. Don’t write long
sentences to impress the examiner but to have shorter, well-structured sentences.
Shorter sentences are better than long ones filled with errors.
