Female student of Duy Tan University's Faculty of Medicine received the January Star Award
With a GPA of 3.91/4.00 and continuous efforts in the Union - Association movements, Secretary Tran Thi
Phuong - excellently became one of the 104 brightest "stars", honored to receive Award "January Star" in
the celebration of the 73rd Anniversary of the Traditional Day of Vietnamese Students, Students and
Student Associations (January 9, 1950 - January 9, 2023) by the Central Committee of the Vietnam
Student Association.
Since becoming a new student at Duy Tan University, Tran Thi Phuong has been attached to the position
of Secretary of K25YDK1 branch with the trust of her classmates. Ignoring the shy and apprehensive shell
of adolescence, Phuong increasingly grasps more skills, trains herself and accumulates knowledge and
experience through many experiences.
From the Faculty-level movement to the School-level movement, she was really like a "fish in water",
confidently demonstrating her abilities in her forte fields and constantly learning in areas of activities that
she did not know.
With a sense of responsibility and enthusiasm in learning and training, from a class secretary, Phuong
was nominated for the position of Deputy Secretary of the Union of Medical Faculty and a member of the
Executive Committee (BCH). Union School of Medicine and Pharmacy (CMP).
After 4 years of "burning" with all her heart with the Union-Society work at Duy Tan University, Phuong
has received many Certificates of Merit and Certificates of Merit from the School level, the City level to
the Central level, such as:
- Certificate of Merit from the Student Union of the Faculty of Medicine, Duy Tan University for
outstanding achievements in the Association's work and student movement in the 2019-2020 school year;
- Certificate of Merit from the Union of Medical Faculty, Duy Tan University for outstanding achievements
in the prevention and control of COVID-19;

- Achieved the title of Level I Coach of Da Nang City in 2022;

- Achieved the title of "City-level 5 best student" in the academic year 2020 - 2021;

- Achieved the title of "5 Good Student at School" for 2 consecutive years 2020 - 2022;
- Won the title of "Advanced youth following Uncle Ho's words in the school year 2020 - 2021" at the
school level;
- Certificate of Merit for outstanding achievements in Union work and student movement for the term
2019 - 2022 awarded by the Executive Board of Duy Tan University;
Sharing memorable memories during the 4-year journey of participating in the Youth Union activities,
Phuong confided: “What I remember most is when I joined the teaching-propaganda team in the Green
Summer 2022 campaign. in Tam Dan commune, Phu Ninh district, Quang Nam province. Here, I and my
friends organized teaching, playing and activities with children, building a model of exchanging garbage
for gifts, contributing to raising people's awareness in environmental protection. Whether it's raining or
sunny, the children also come to class regularly, the number of students participating in the class is

increasing. That is the joy of the girls who teach us. In addition, I also participated in supporting the
medical team in providing free medical examination and treatment for the people. Although it was only a
short time, but left me with many memories…”
Not only is the "leader" leading the class to actively participate in the Association's activities, Phuong is
also a shining example in learning. For many years in a row, she has received the Certificate of Merit
from the Rector of Duy Tan University for her excellent academic achievements. Phuong has always
maintained her performance and the average score of the last school year was 3.91/4.00. Above all, I
also won many awards as well as researches published in many prestigious journals, specifically:
- Winner of the Vietnam Social Innovation Challenge (VSIC) nationwide in 2021;
- Certificate of Merit for being the author of the most voted Poster in the 23rd Science Research Student
Award - Eureka in 2021;
- There is an article published in the specialized journal "Encology & Diabetes" (No. 49 in 2021, ISSN
1859-4727), with the title "Research on anthropometric characteristics and nutritional status of students
of the course." K26 Duy Tan University", Hue, October 8-9, 2021;
- There is an article published in the specialized journal "Science and Technology of Thua Thien Hue
Province" (No. 91 in 2022, ISSN 2354-094X), with the title "Study on finger blood pressure index and Wifi
