Being one of the 5 representatives of the South region to enter the Finals to compete with national teams and other teams from many countries in the ASEAN region, Duy Tan University's ISITDTU1 team once. Moreover, they affirmed their talents and bravery in the international arena when they came in second and won the second prize in the final round of the "Student with Information Security ASEAN 2022" contest taking place at the Institute of Cryptography, Hanoi. last November 5, 2022.

This is the highest achievement of Duy Tan University students in this arena, ever. With this achievement, ISITDTU1 of Duy Tan University and the team won the second prize from the Institute of Cryptography Engineering (host) and the team won the first prize from the University of Information Technology - Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh City received the Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Education and Training, awarded at the International Conference "Vietnam Information Security Day 2022", held on November 24, 2022, in Hanoi.

“Students with Information Security” is the only Information Security competition open to university students in the ASEAN region as well as in Asia. The contest is maintained annually by the Vietnam Information Security Association with the social responsibility of:

- Contributing to the development of Cybersecurity human resources;

- Promote the implementation of the National Digital Transformation Program and the National Cybersecurity Strategy;

- Improve Vietnam's international reputation and ranking on Information Security as assessed by the International Telecommunication Union.

In the final round - Final round of the "Student with ASEAN Information Security" contest in 2022, there were 10 Vietnamese teams and 10 teams from 6 ASEAN countries including Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia, Laos, Singapore and Thailand, and Thailand. compete with each other. Vietnamese teams competed at the Academy of Cryptography, Hanoi. ASEAN teams participate in the form of online (online) under the supervision of the Jury through the video conferencing system.

In this round, the teams practice Information Security in 2 forms:

- Solve the Scoring Test (jeopardy), and

- Perform Attack/Defense activities continuously for 8 hours with 96 rounds.

In the first 2 hours since the start of the competition, thanks to the Red team - a strong attack team, ISITDTU1 of Duy Tan University quickly topped the rankings. Under the onslaught of other teams, the Blue team - the defensive team was initially overloaded, leading to a rapid decrease in ISITDTU1's score and at one point the team dropped out of the top 10. With the spirit of solidarity, strategy, and technique. Stable competition, ISITDTU1 has gradually regained its performance on the "race track". In particular, about the last 3 hours before the end of the competition, ISITDTU1 broke through when it found a way to attack the services of other teams. This is also the time when the ISITDTU1 team reached the Top 2 and competed in each round with the UIT.pawf3ct team of the University of Information Technology - Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh.

After 8 hours of intense and dramatic competition, Duy Tan University's ISITDTU1 team stood firmly in the Top 2. The results of the contest are as follows:

- First prize: Team UIT.pawf3ct of the University of Information Technology - Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh City with 11,629 points.

- Second prize: team ISITDTU1 of Duy Tan University with 11,088 points (only 541 points behind the First team) and team KMA.L3N0V0 of the host, Academy of Cryptography with 10,070 points.

- Third prize: SECGANG team of Hanoi University of Science and Technology with 9,174 points, team PH4NTOM_TROUP3 of the University of Technology - Hanoi National University with 8,692 points, and team MSEC¬_ADC of Military Academy of Engineering with 6,742 points.

- Together with 5 Consolation prizes from universities in Vietnam, Indonesia, and Singapore.
