Connecting Friendship and Understanding Culture in ASEAN Day 2023 at DTU
On the afternoon of March 11, 2023, the ASEAN Festival 2023 with many diverse and exciting
activities attracted the participation of thousands of students at Duy Tan University, 3 Quang
Trung, City. Danang. The festival is not only a useful playground for Duy Tan students but also a
place to meet, make friends and share with students from many countries in the ASEAN
community.
Speaking at the Festival, Dr. Le Nguyen Tue Hang - Vice Rector of Duy Tan University said:
"Your generation is the generation of dynamic Gen Z, please take advantage of opportunities
from activities with international elements to see See the world, develop yourself and
confidently integrate into the foreign labor market.
She hopes that the P2A activities held at Duy Tan University will help them both have the
opportunity to make friends and learn and share the best with foreign students. At the same

Participating in the 2023 ASEAN Festival, young people not only learn about the culture, country
and people of many countries in ASEAN, but also have the opportunity to experience the
extremely unique and attractive dishes of Vietnam. neighboring countries when visiting food
stalls.
The ASEAN food stalls are beautifully and impressively decorated with a variety of fruits, dishes
and drinks with bold traditional flavors of indigenous people and are considered the "national
spirit" of many countries. such as: Laos, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines,...
Next, the exam "Knowing about ASEAN" with 20 questions about knowledge of history, culture
as well as activities of countries in ASEAN with very specific contents about: national flag,
national flower, simple monetary taste, sports, cuisine,... characteristic of some countries. This
is an opportunity for the competing teams to "compete" together and demonstrate their
knowledge of neighboring countries.
An interesting highlight of the Festival must be the contest "Fashion Show of ASEAN countries"
with the charming performance of amateur model couples. Each typical costume of a country
performed on stage adds meaning when accompanied by a presentation about the traditional
beauty of that country.
In addition, general information about the activities of the Journey to ASEAN Organization
(Passage to ASEAN - P2A) has been sent to a large number of students attending the 2023
ASEAN Festival. Accordingly, P2A is a program organized by the Association of Southeast Asian
Nations (ASEAN). Rangsit University Thailand started in June 2012 with the participation of co-
founders of Norton University Cambodia, Duy Tan University Vietnam, Laos National University,
Myanmar Computer Institute. Immediately after its establishment, P2A has become a bridge
connecting the network of universities and research institutes in the region, helping to develop
high-quality human resources, creating educational exchange programs at a cost-effective price
for students. for students and support students to find jobs in ASEAN countries.
Participating in activities of P2A organizations, students from other countries will enjoy the best
learning and practice conditions and will be equipped with necessary skills such as:
environmental protection, cultural heritage conservation. , respecting independence -
sovereignty, preserving national identity, language, religion, law, ... in the spirit of unity in the
diversity of colors of ASEAN countries.
