OVERVIEW OF DUY TAN UNIVERSITY (MS THANH TRANG)
Located in the heart of Da Nang city, on the Pacific coast all year round, full of sunshine, Duy Tan University is rising day by day with the city with the aspiration to innovate in the direction of modernity. Duy Tan University was established on 11/11/1994 under Decision No. 666/TTg of the Prime Minister. In 2015, the school was transformed into a private model according to Decision No. 1704/QD-TTg dated October 2, 2015 of the Prime Minister. Duy Tan is the first and largest private university in the Central region with multi-level, multi-disciplinary and multi-field training.
Over 27 years of construction and development, Duy Tan University has enrolled 63 doctoral students, 3,045 master students, 109,130 college and university students and 12,400 intermediate professional students. The University has provided the society with 74,865 Doctorates, Masters, Engineers, Architects, Pharmacists and Bachelors. In which: 5 doctorates, 1,914 masters; over 67,600 engineers, architects, pharmacists, bachelors of universities and colleges; 8,000 Professional Intermediate students (stop enrolling in the professional intermediate system from 2012 and from 2018 The school does not enroll college students) - contributing quality human resources to the process of industrialization - modernization and development socio-economic development of the country.
The results of the employment survey show that the employment rate of students after one year of graduation is more than 95%. It can be seen that the quality of the school's training has contributed to the improvement of the people's intellectual level and the socialization of education. About the team, from only a few dozen people, up to now, the University has built a team of 1,223 permanent staff and lecturers. With the motto "standing on the shoulders of giants" to elevate themselves, Duy Tan University has cooperated with prestigious universities in the US to transfer training programs such as Carnegie Mellon University (CMU). - 1 in the top 4 universities for Information Technology in the US (according to US News 2020); Pennsylvania State University - 1 of the top 50 schools of Economics - Business Administration in the US (according to U.S. News 2020); California State University at Fullerton - the largest school in the California State University system along with Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo (CSU - CalState) - one of the top 5 schools in the US for training in Architecture - Construction; Purdue University offers advanced programs in Electrical - Electronics and Mechatronics. Not stopping at "importing" advanced programs, Duy Tan also created new turning points in the cooperation process when sending students to study abroad and get international degrees. Since 2010, Duy Tan University has officially implemented 2+2 study abroad programs (the first 2 years in Duy Tan and the next 2 years in the US or Canada), 1+1+2 (1 year at Duy Tan and 2 years at Duy Tan). 3 years later in the US) and 3+1 (first 3 years at Duy Tan and 1 year later in Singapore or the UK).
